A privacy-focused weather app with live NEXRAD radar, severe alerts, hyper-local forecasts, and on-device AI commentary. Independently built from data processing and mobile UX through release and ongoing operations.

Highlights include 29 NEXRAD/TDWR radar products, animated multi-layer radar, Level II super-resolution processing, storm tracking, and severe-weather notifications. Location, saved places, and AI processing remain on device, with no account required.

Designed around a responsive station map, callsign search, recent movement, and detailed packet inspection. Local-first history and location-aware filters keep recent activity useful without storing location in the app.

DATA ENGINEERING · APR 2026 – PRESENT

NitroBrewDB

A data engineering project for compact, queryable storage of large open datasets from sources such as Discogs, Wikidata, and Wikipedia. Starting with a 53 GB Discogs dataset in newline-delimited JSON and XML, custom compression and indexing reduce its size by about 35% while preserving query access without full decompression.

Built on SQLite, the system transforms unstructured source data into an indexed relational format for fast SQL queries in a lightweight, serverless environment. The result supports local development, offline analysis, and data-driven applications without the footprint of conventional hot storage.

Swift BLE platform & diagnostic app

Built a modular Swift 6 package and companion SwiftUI app for connected hardware, with a layered Core Bluetooth architecture, strict concurrency, typed events, and an async client API.

Implemented firmware update and Wi-Fi provisioning flows, robust connection recovery, and isolated accessory integrations. A fake transport and peripheral simulator support 683 XCTest cases in CI without physical devices.

Freedom Fargo League

A WordPress and web-design project supporting a Pennsylvania amateur pool league focused on fair competition, community, and recognition for teams at every level.

The league offers 8-ball and 9-ball divisions with Fargo caps to balance teams. Its online presence introduces the league’s inclusive approach and helps players discover a competitive environment where every match and participant matters.

Client Business Profiles and Newsletters

Create and update content for client business profiles, including Google Business Profiles, using AI-assisted tools such as ChatGPT, Codex, Gemini, and Grok.

The work also includes preparing electronic newsletters distributed through Mailchimp, bringing business-profile updates and email communications into a coordinated client-content workflow.

People Facts Database for SEO

Created a database of facts about people by importing Wikidata JSON and Wikipedia XML into MongoDB.

The project organized open reference data to support search-oriented content and help attract additional traffic from search engines, connecting large-scale data ingestion with a practical SEO use case.

Points of Interest Database for SEO

Built a client points-of-interest database using the Overture Places dataset, with MongoDB among the project technologies.

The work focused on making place data useful for search-oriented content, supporting the client’s goal of gaining additional traffic from search engines.

CONNECTED MOBILE APP · ESD, INC.

Cycle Pay Laundry App

Developed a cross-platform Xamarin Forms app that modernized laundry payments through secure Bluetooth Low Energy communication. Customers could vend laundry machines without physical coins, while management companies gained visibility into machine usage and coin collections.

Integrated Apple Pay and Google Pay with tokenized payments through the Vantiv gateway. Secure Bluetooth vending and auditing connected the mobile checkout experience with laundry equipment, improving convenience for users and operational efficiency for operators.

MANUFACTURING AUTOMATION · HAPBEE

Hapbee Manufacturing

Led manufacturing-process improvements when security requirements and a Bluetooth-based programming and validation workflow resulted in production times of three to seven hours per device during early investor rounds and the Indiegogo campaign.

Integrated the Microsoft Windows SDK, .NET, and custom testing and manufacturing hardware to automate device programming and validation. By December 2022, production time had fallen to 12 minutes per device while maintaining compliance and quality standards.
