iOS & Bluetooth Low Energy Engineering Consultant · Confidential connected-hardware client

Designed a production Bluetooth Low Energy platform: a six-module Swift package of approximately 18,000 lines and a roughly 19,000-line SwiftUI companion app. Kept the package modular, with a dependency-free codec, Core Bluetooth transport, client API, and opt-in profiles. Implemented the library in Swift 6 strict-concurrency mode with actor-isolated sessions and lifecycle management, typed Sendable events, and async/await integration for Core Bluetooth delegates.

Built an mcumgr/SMP client and MCUboot firmware-update pipeline from protocol specifications, including CBOR, SHA-256, image-header parsing, MTU-aware transfer, retry, and resume; added BLE Wi-Fi provisioning and connection recovery. Delivered GATT services, accessory integrations, diagnostics, and a fake transport/device simulator that supports 683 XCTest cases in CI without physical hardware.

Founder & Lead Developer · RadioWave

Building RadioWave APRS, a live APRS companion that turns the APRS-IS data stream into a map-first view of amateur-radio activity. The product is intended to help operators and listeners discover stations, follow movement, inspect packet data, and understand nearby activity without unnecessary complexity.

Current product work includes a responsive map with station positions and movement, callsign search, packet inspection for coordinates, weather, telemetry, and messages, and location-aware filtering. A local-first history stores recent packets and station activity on the device; location is used for map centering and nearby filtering rather than stored by the app.
